Privacy Policy for 90s Snake Game

Effective date: October 17, 2026 · Last updated: October 20, 2026

The short version

This Privacy Policy explains how 90s Snake Game (the "App") handles information. The App is made by v12hero, an independent developer ("I", "me", "my"), and is available for iPhone, iPad and Android phones, tablets and foldables.

No personal data collected

None. No accounts, no sign-in, no ads, no analytics and no tracking.

No internet needed

The App itself does not use the internet and does not send anything to me. Purchases and backup/sync are done by Apple and Google.

Stays on your device

Your high scores, settings and rewinds are saved on your own device (and in your own iCloud or Google backup if you use one). I can't see them.

1. Information I collect

I do not collect, receive, store or share any information about you.

I have no servers that the App talks to. The App does not contain any third-party analytics, advertising, crash-reporting or tracking software (SDKs).

2. Information stored on your device

To work like a real game, the App saves a small amount of information locally on your device, using the standard storage provided by iOS (UserDefaults) and Android (SharedPreferences):

What is savedWhy
Your top 10 scores, each with the date and time it was achievedTo show the "Top score" list
Game level (1–9)To remember your chosen speed
Walls on/offTo remember your game mode
Sounds on/offTo remember your sound preference
Vibration on/offTo remember your haptics preference
Touch controls on/offTo remember how you like to play
Your rewinds: how many you were given or bought (with the store's transaction number for each purchase, so a purchase is never counted twice) and how many you usedTo keep your rewinds balance right

This information:

  • is never sent to me;
  • is not linked to your name, email, phone number, location or any advertising identifier. The only identifier involved is the app-specific one in your private iCloud record, described in section 4;
  • is under your control: you can erase your scores at any time inside the App (open Top score, press the Navi key and confirm Clear all scores), change any setting in Settings, and remove everything on the device by deleting the App. A copy in your iCloud or Google backup (section 4) stays there so bought rewinds can come back.

3. In-app purchases

You can buy packs of rewinds (10 or 30) inside the App. Purchases go through the Apple App Store or Google Play, under their terms and privacy policies.

Apple or Google handle the payment and only tell the App that the purchase went through. I never receive your name, email or payment details.

The App sells nothing else and shows no ads.

4. Backup and sync of your saved game

  • Android: if Android Backup is on, Android includes the App's saved data (scores, settings and rewinds) in your backup to your Google account and copies it to a new phone, so bought rewinds come back after a reinstall. Backups run about once a day. This is handled by Google under its privacy policy; I can't access it.
  • iPhone and iPad (from version 1.0.1): your rewinds record is also kept in your own private iCloud storage (iCloud key-value storage) under your Apple ID, so bought rewinds come back after a reinstall and show on your other Apple devices. The record holds the rewinds paid in (with the store transaction numbers), the rewinds used, and an app-specific device identifier that Apple provides to the App. That identifier keeps each device's record apart and can't be used to identify you in other apps. The record is stored by Apple under its privacy policy; I can't access it and it is never sent to me.
  • If you don't use iCloud or Android Backup, everything stays on your device only.

5. Ratings

From version 1.0.1, after you've played a few games, the App may ask Apple or Google to show their standard "rate this app" pop-up. Any rating or review goes to the store; the App and I never see it.

6. Permissions

The App does not ask for access to your contacts, photos, camera, microphone, location, calendar, files or network. On Android, the App does not request the internet permission.

The App uses your device's speaker for short game beeps (which respect the silent / ring switch on iPhone) and the vibration motor for short haptic taps when you press game keys. Both can be turned off in the App's Settings. Neither involves collecting data.

On foldable devices, the App reads the fold position / hinge angle from the operating system only to arrange the game around the fold and to pause when the device is closed. This information is used live on the device and is never stored or sent anywhere.

7. Advertising and tracking

The App shows no advertising and does not track you across apps or websites. It does not use Apple's Advertising Identifier (IDFA) or Google's Advertising ID, and it does not show an App Tracking Transparency prompt because it has nothing to track.

8. Sharing and selling of data

Because I don't collect any data, I do not sell, rent, share or disclose any personal information to anyone.

9. Children's privacy

The App is suitable for all ages. Because it collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). This is consistent with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar laws.

10. Your rights (GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA and other laws)

Privacy laws such as the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation and the California Consumer Privacy Act give you rights to access, correct, delete or move your personal data, and to opt out of its sale. Because I hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for me to access, correct, delete or transfer. The scores, settings and rewinds on your device are fully under your control and can be deleted at any time as described in section 2.

11. Data security

All App data stays inside the App's private storage area on your device, which is protected by your device's operating system and its lock screen. The App itself transmits nothing. Purchases and the backup/sync in section 4 are handled by Apple and Google.

13. Changes to this policy

If a future version of the App ever works differently (for example, if it adds online leaderboards), I will update this policy before that version is released, change the "Last updated" date above, and describe the change in the app's release notes.

14. Contact me

If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or the App, contact me:
