The Short Version
Do Scan does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any of your data. The App has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no network connection. Everything you scan or create stays on your device.

Zero personal information is collected. We operate no servers and the App makes no network requests.
No Network Access
The app contains no networking code. It is physically incapable of transmitting data off your device.

Built entirely on Apple's native frameworks. No analytics, advertising, or tracking libraries of any kind.
About Do Scan
Do Scan ("the App") is a document scanner built so that your documents stay yours. This policy explains, in plain language, what the App does and does not do with your information.
Information We Collect
None. Do Scan does not collect any personal information. We do not operate any servers, and the App makes no network requests. We have no ability to see your documents, your usage, or your identity.
Your Documents
All scans, PDFs, text recognized by OCR, annotations, and signatures are stored locally on your device. They are never uploaded, synced, or backed up to us or to any third party. When you delete a document in the App, its files are removed from your device.
Camera & Photos
- Camera — The App uses your device camera only to capture document pages that you choose to scan. Captured images are processed entirely on your device and are saved only to the App's local storage. They are not sent anywhere.
- Photos — If you import images, the system photo picker lets you select specific photos. The App only receives the images you pick, processes them on-device, and does not access your broader photo library.
On-Device APIs
Do Scan accesses the following system APIs, solely for app functionality:
- UserDefaults — Stores your app preferences (e.g. color filter settings, interface scale) locally on your device.
- File Timestamps — Reads file modification dates to display document sorting and "last edited" information.
Neither of these APIs transmits data off your device. No tracking domains are contacted, and no data is collected through these APIs.
Third Parties
Do Scan contains no third-party SDKs, analytics, advertising, or tracking frameworks. No data is shared with anyone because no data leaves your device.
Purchases
Any purchase is handled by Apple through the App Store. Apple's processing of that transaction is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. We never receive your payment details.
Children
The App does not collect data from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new "Last updated" date.
