Getting Started
Is it available for iPhone and Android?
Yes. It's available now for iPhone and iPad on the App Store. The Android version for phones, tablets and foldables is coming soon to Google Play.
How much does 90s Snake Game cost?
It's a one-time $1.99 download on the App Store (prices vary by country) with no ads and no subscription. If you want, you can also buy packs of 10 or 30 rewinds inside the app. That's the only other thing for sale.
Does it need an internet connection?
No. You can play it in airplane mode, on a plane, on the subway or anywhere without wifi or mobile data. You only need a connection if you choose to buy rewinds.
Playing
How do I control the snake?
Use the 2, 4, 6 and 8 keys on the on-screen keypad to steer up, left, right and down. You can also turn on touch mode and swipe anywhere above the keypad, or use a hardware keyboard's arrow keys or WASD.
How do I pause the game?
Press the Navi key (the wide key under the screen). The game also pauses automatically when you leave the app, get a call or close a foldable phone.
Can I play without walls?
Yes. Turn walls off in Settings and the snake wraps around the edges of the screen. Turn walls on for the harder mode, where touching the edge ends the game.
What is the bonus bug?
Every 5 pieces of food, a bonus bug appears on the screen for a few seconds. Eat it before it disappears for extra points. The faster you catch it, the more it's worth.
Settings & Devices
Can I turn off the sound or vibration?
Yes. Both can be switched off in Settings. On iPhone, the game's sounds also follow the silent switch.
Does it work on foldable phones?
Yes. In tabletop mode the display sits above the hinge and the keypad below, like an old flip phone. On small cover screens it switches to a compact touch-controlled display.
Does it work on iPad?
Yes. The game runs on iPad in portrait and landscape, and supports hardware keyboards.
Scores & Privacy
Where are my high scores saved?
Your top 10 scores are saved on your device. Your best score is always kept. You can clear the list from the Top score screen.
Does the game collect any data?
No. 90s Snake Game collects no personal data, uses no analytics and doesn't track you. See my Privacy Policy.
